Surveys and EIA for the coastal modification project was done in early 2012 and involved mainly seagrass removal from the entire eastern side covering over 95,000m2 area of seagrass. Upon approval of the project, the Client requested Sandcays to undertake the seagrass removal works. With past experience of civil works of similar nature by the team, Sandcays carried out the project successfully removing the entire seagrass bed from roots by excavation and nourishing eastern and northeastern beaches. The team did a smooth job bringing new life to the once crystal clear lagoon of Kanifinolhu.
